I ♥ food. I especially have a fondness for GOOD food. I love to create and share with my family and friends. I am a self-taught amateur cook/baker. I am the first to admit I am a food snob, in the best way possible of course! Really, it is just a deep appreciation for fabulous food and if I am going to go through the time and effort to create it had better be good and worth the calories! The recipes on this site have passed my self-imposed high standards by being personally tested and tasted by me, my family and friends and I am happy to share them with you! I love cooking with fresh ingredients, especially fresh herbs, juices, etc. They bring such life and color to a dish and are worth seeking out.
Many of the recipes posted are from magazines, cookbooks and other recipe sources, and some and hopefully more will be my own creations as I get more skilled in creating. Curious about the difficulty of the recipe or the time required? Visit the Recipe Difficulty Scale page for more details and each recipe will be categorized by difficulty, my contact info is also on this page for more extended questions.
Welcome and let me know how they work for your family.

Heather,
You are an awesome cook and look forward to getting more recipes from you. Love the picture of you, you look great. Good luck and keep cookin’.
I’m loving your blog!! I agree with your food philosophy and can’t wait to try many of your recipes! One question: I live at a high altitude and just wondered if you do also, or if I should be adjusting the recipes as needed for that. Thanks!
Hi,
My name is Amethyst and I work with a user-submitted restaurant review site– basically, it’s a cross between MySpace and Wikipedia, but with food.
Anyway, I’d like to buy a text link on your site. Please let me know
if you’re interested. (Sorry, I know that being approached by a stranger offering you money for a link on your site is kind of weird– I’ll be happy to take the time to answer any questions you might have.)
Thanks,
Amethyst

Candace,
I do not live at high altitude at all! So feel free to adjust away to make the recipes work where you live. Hopefully you living at high altitude means you have beautiful mountains, green everywhere and lovely cool weather. I wish I lived high altitude! Good luck.
Hey Heather-
I can’t wait to try some of your recipes, they look delicious! Hope you guys are all doing well, tell Phil I said hello and give the babes a hug and a kiss!
Love, Ashley
